Animal Kingdom - December 20th

December 19th we hung out at the campground and Jesse took the kids swimming.

December 20th we heading to Animal Kingdom.  Ayden and Kailey were REALLY excited because they wanted to go on Expedition Everest!  Ayden had been on it before, but Kailey wasn't tall enough yet.  This her and Ashlyn were tall enough.  It was my first time on it as well.  Actually it was my first time on a lot of ride!  I'm always the one to stay with the little ones, but this year I went on almost every ride - the exception, Tower of Terror. 

We watched them build Expedition Everest from framework in 2004 to what it is today.

We had a good time in Animal Kingdom, we normally don't stay for the whole day, but we didn't leave until after 8pm!

Ayden and My Birthday

I just realized I never posted about Ayden's birthday or Disney, or Christmas!

We arrived in Disney's Fort Wilderness on December 17th; Ayden and I were pretty excited about our birthday's and being Disney.  We decided to go to the Magic Kingdom on the 18th.  When we arrived, we got our Birthday buttons with our names on them.  Ayden loved everyone wishing him a happy birthday!

I also got a pretty good picture of all the kids too.  Dylan saw a broucher for the Disney restuarants and it had a little boy on it with Dylan blue Mickey shirt on it and the read Mickey ear hat.  So Dylan really want to get the Mickey ear hat to match.  I also bought Riley the blue Mickey ears, but then regretted it and I'll tell you why in a little bit.

Dylan had a pretty good time at Disney and rode quite a few rides.  His favorite were the tea cups and Buzz Lightyear.  He can't wait to go back, he had so much fun!

For dinner we went to Crystal Palace and we were not impressed.  It was over 200.00 for us for dinner and we left feeling not satisfied.  But Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglett were there.

The Weather Forecast

It's looking good this week, with the minor exception of rain.  I hope they dig and pour the basement before Wednesday!  The temps are high too.  This has been such an odd winter.  We've seen 50 degrees on more than snow!

Day 53!!!

Monday we had our meeting with Pierce and everything is going perfect!  We're breaking ground next week!!  Here's our lots blue prints, it's going to look so good with the placement.

Yesterday I went by and they poured the rocks for the big equipment to access the lot.  Now that we know what's going on, seems to be moving a little faster!  Let's hope Mother Nature cooperates next week.

I'm so excited to see what next week brings.  Plus, Pierce isn't too bad on the eyes either!

Day 46!

Nothing new for us, but our new neighbor's house is coming along nicely!  He only had lower walls last Thursday and today they were shingling his house!

Pukefest 2012

It's that time of year again!  Pukefest has arrived in full force and it started with Dylan, followed by Riley, Kailey, Ayden and now Jesse.  I have a feeling Ashlyn will be up sometime tonight and then it's my turn.

CPR

I am now certified in CPR for the healthcare professional!!!  It's all coming together. 

Some updates

Monday night Aunt Ellen passed away from brain cancer. See this post HERE.  And guess what, I read it on FACEBOOK!  Needless to say, Tuesday was rough, I was going through many emotions about finding out again on facebook, and my dad, and my aunt. 

Tuesday night I went out to Belleville to check on my cousin Kevin's girlfriend Michelle. She had some birthy stuff happen and just wanted me to check on things. I listed to the baby's heartbeat and he sounded great and heart rate was responsive.  I also palpated and knew he was going to be a big baby, I told Jesse high 8's low 9's.

Wednesday was prenatal day and I played with some unborn babies.  *love*

Thursday morning I found out Michelle had the baby Wednesday night at 11.55!  His name is Matthew Dylan and he was 9lbs 2oz and 21" long!

Today I found out about our pre-construction meeting and I found a CPR class for 25.00 at the fire station tomorrow.

Day 39!

We have a pre-construction date with our construction person, Pierce.  We meet him on 2/20 at 9am!!!!  We'll finally be able to see where our house is going to be on our lot.  I feel like it's taken so long to get here.

Neonatal Resuscitation

Yesterday I attended the Neonatal Resuscitation course with Karen Strange and it was amazing!!  So much more than just NRP and wonderful information on the transition of the newborn from womb life to "world" life.  The best part, I'm Neonatal Resuscitation certified!!!!!

Day 25, we have some progress!

I took the kids out to see their new school and drive by the property.  They staked out where the house will sit, I think!  There were stakes with blue that said "GAR" at the spot where the garage will be and other ones, but I didn't know what they were for.  They weren't there on Monday!!  :)

Disappointment on day 21.

I was so excited over our brick selection because no one in the sub had it yet.  Well, I drove down our new road yesterday and they recently finished bricking a house and they picked the same brick.  :-(  It looks beautiful, but was hoping to be different.  I am toying with the idea of changing it.  Jesse says it's fine, but that house is 3 houses away from us and a different model.

Cabinets, Carpet, and Granite, OH MY - Day 19!!

Today was so overwhelming and exciting.  We picked out brick, siding, 3 different cabinet colors, tile, carpet, granite, marble.  Holy crap, so many decisions!  But I really think our house is going to be amazing and our sales woman, Debbie and great!  We had no pressure to upgrade, she helped us with color choices and matching and is just wonderful!  All the upgrades we did today is what we assumed we'd upgrade.  We upgraded our cabinets in the kitchen, our carpet, the door knobs, and something else, that I can't think of. 

In 3 weeks we'll meet with our construction person, I thought we were going to do that today though, and we'll be breaking ground a few weeks after that!

Day 18!

Tomorrow we have our preconstruction meeting and are picking out carpet and all that stuff.  I'm pretty excited!!

Getting sick

Yep, just what I needed.  I'm getting a head cold and I need to get rid of it fast.  Luckily our next mom isn't due until on Feb. 9th!  Tomorrow's prenatal day though, and I hope to be feeling better by then.

Day 11 of building our house!

Jesse and I decided on Royal Oak as our brick color for our house.  Even though we haven't had our preconstruction meeting yet, Jesse knew that would be an issue for us to do on the spot.  So I took photo's of our options and we met in the middle.

My 2012 Goals

• Live within a budget - seriously, wish me luck!
• Make money - that requires me to get good at births quick, but not too quick.
• Coupon, I really need to coupon.  Is there a Couponing For Dummies?
• Meal plan!  I must do this!!
• Make better meals for my family, healthier.
• Purge
• Thrift shop for clothes.

And unfortunately, I decided we need to re-home Lola. She needs a family who's not so much on the go.  So she's going back to live with her Mommy, Ruby!!!  That's right, my cousins would like to keep her!!!!  I'm so glad and the girls are excited she'll be with her Mommy and they'll be able to see her.

Day 4 of "Building our House"

And we've already changed some things around.  I haven't posted pictures yet, but I'll describe the changes.  The fireplace has stone going up it, half way and then on the side to the ceiling.  Instead of that, we're going to do the lower portion stone and then a hearth.  This change came because I want the back door in the nook area to be a bay.

I also plan on posting an update on Friday's.

We've started 2012 off with a BANG!

Jesse and I signed the papers to start building our house today.  The house should be done in July or August, they start pulling permits tomorrow!  We go back on the 21 to pick our cabinets, colors, carpet, etc.  Probably going to be a big pain in the ass! LOL
