Overall, a productive weekend!

Jesse got the hedge down yesterday and I burnt it all in a couple hours. I figured out the shelves in Riley's room. I'm just going to use the ones that were in Dylan's room and get Dylan a wall shelving system of some sort - IKEA. I also got Dylan's paint for his room and we're just working on getting the wall paper down...so far, not much luck. I also got the other roll of Cars wall paper, just need to get some Cars stickers for the walls. I picked up his birthday presents, a tool bench and Cars chair. I just wish I could get his room painted, but that wall paper has no interest in coming down.

This week we're going to try to get the corner fencing put up and Thursday the roof is being done. I can't wait, it's going to look a million times better even though the house needs paint and new wood in such a bad way. Which leads us into the next project...we're going to use stone siding in the front the house. Jesse just wants to do the 3 levels and leave the 4th as siding. I think it will look stupid and stone the entire front of the house and repaint the rest. He's being a pita. I guess the fake stone stuff is almost as expensive as the real stuff. EEEEK!

On other news, the TV prices are starting to come down in preparation for the holidays, so it shouldn't be too much longer until we get our new TV's. I can't wait until we can get rid of this huge TV that's taking up way too much floor space and put the new one on the wall. This is my main motivation on getting a TV. lol

The list...

  • Hang bathroom mirror
  • Take down border in Dylan's room - easier said than done...
  • Put laundry away
  • Get peri bottles, tarp, rv hose, python hose, sink adaptor, born at home onesie and paper
  • Hang Riley's comforter, take pictures
  • Get shelves or something for Riley's room
  • Beg Jesse to buy the TV's now, rather than later
  • Hang pictures back up
  • Throw the couches in the firepit - wishful thinking! LOL
  • Organize scrap/laundry room
  • Cut down hedge line and chip it up into the front "garden"
  • Hang the stuff up in the girls room
  • Clean up the kids rooms
  • Vacuum everything
  • Get price for tree triming
  • Get price for mulch
  • Pick up new hockey socks for Ayden
  • Install the fence. HALF DONE!!
  • Pack up summer clothes
  • Paint Dylan's room
  • Put up wallpaper
  • Put up the stickers
  • Get frames for Riley's room (2)

I think I added more to the list than I did taking anything off!

Had to turn on the heat this morning.

It was freezing in here over night and this morning. Since we're all sick, I turned on the heat! Ayden came home from school sick yesterday, I can't get rid of it and it doesn't help that I can't rest - too much crap to do and school. Jesse stayed home because he was sick on Tuesday, well, he worked from home, but I had class and Ashlyn and Dylan were at daycare, so that's resting in my mind! But I can't get him to stay home for me so I can get better. I can't take any meds, I have to tough it out and I can't do that when I can't rest! I'm so frustrated! I went to class last night feeling like complete crap, I'm up now feeling like my head is going to explode and that I'm enhaling daggers.

Lots to do today!

So I'm sick with this head cold thingie, Jesse tried to stay home to let me sleep, but since it's picture day he started spazing out and work me up. Since the kids have a cough I told him to just get them looking decent and we can alway do retakes. Then I told him just to go to work since I was already awake and had a ton to do today. I'll be taking Ashlyn to get her hair cut, I need my eye brows waxed, then we're running to Melissa's to drop some stuff off, then off to Jared to pick up my necklace that I got from Aunt Marion when she died. The clasp broke and I want to get a better one so I don't lose it.

PTO Meeting

It was very interesting! I signed up for a bunch of stuff and am feeling very productive this year. Last year we had dance on Tuesday's and couldn't attend any meetings, but this year is much different!

Dylan's birthday; T-Minus 14 days!

Jesse decided yesterday that we'll be redoing Dylan's room for his birthday. We've picked out the paint, got a roll of border and just need to get Ashlyn's old border down. I'm so excited, it's going to be the Disney Pixar Cars theme and he's going to love it!

Day 2 of school.

Yesterday was the first day of school. A bit hecktic since I was also started my first day back with a 9am Government class and Ashlyn's and Dylan's first day of daycare with Cheryl. Needless to say, we forgot something. The kids lunches were nestled in the fridge until I noticed them at 2pm or so. lol

My government class is going to be awesome. My prof is more like Jesse and Kevin Smith, totally awesome. I get 3 bonus points for being a registered voter, for not missing any classes (hear that Riley, no Monday or Tuesday morning arrival), for writing a letter to a government official or news paper editer. I think there was something else, but can't remember what.

Ashlyn and Dylan had a fun time at Cheryl's and Dylan only shed a couple tears I hear. I was so worried about how he was going to do since he's never met Cheryl, but since Ashlyn and Alyssa were there, I'm sure that's what made it okay.

Last night was Ashlyn's preschool meeting. I really like that the teacher is just like Mrs. Sabourine. Last year, I was having a hard time with the new preschool teacher - all they were doing was nursery rhymes, which is great when you're not paying a thousand dollars for more. Ashlyn will be going from 1:15pm to 4:15pm Monday through Friday. The afternoon worked so much better for our schedule and what time the older kids get out of school.

Tonight I have Philosophy...hopefull it will be good. Class starts at 6pm.

On a Riley note, we're 27 1/2 weeks and NOT SLEEPING! Riley thinks it's fun to kick Mommy all night long. And I can't really get comfortable, but not for any particular reason. I've noticed I sleep better on my back and keep waking up on my back. Other than that, I'm feel awesome, hot most days though, especially recently with the damp humidity.

Our roof is being installed on September 25 and I can not wait!!! HURRAY!! And we picked up fencing on Craigslist to finish off the corner on the new neighbors side and the front corner of Baba's (means grandmother in her language) side. Just need to find more on CL's to remove the wood fence and chain link it.

27 week Midwife Appointment!

As of Friday, I am 27 weeks pregnant. So far so good with very little braxton hicks contractions - which is out of the norm for me. Usually they start around 15-17 weeks and don't stop until I deliver. I did have a very unpleasant pregnant issue come up that I'm so not willing to talk about. LOL So I'm on vitamin C, vitamin E, and Bilberry...along with regular adjustments and no more normal jeans. Either cotton pants or maternity. Riley is head down, his back is against mine and his feet are crossed in front of him. So I'm getting punched and kicked! LOL

The kids and I start school on Tuesday and we're all very ready to get back to "normal". Ashlyn's preschool meeting is on Tuesday as well and I'll be meeting her teacher. So even had a little meltdown on Thursday about wanting to be in Kindergarten rather than preschool.

Good news!

While in Disney our camera, bag, and everything in it was lost on a bus. Once we got home, Disney found it and shipped it back to us - but our battery charger was missing. I've been taking very little pictures because I wasn't sure when we'd be able to get a new charger. Well, Jesse finally ordered one and it will be here tomorrow! And we're buying Jen's recliner from her, I can't wait, it will be so comfy to sit and nurse little Riley in!

7 Days!!

The kids and I start school in seven days and I can not wait! I'm so ready to go back, the kids are ready to go back, and I'm ready for some peace and quiet in the house! The kids are so sick of each other too, they are constantly fighting and have been for a month now. Last week we got the kids teachers' names, Kailey will have Miss Wherritt as did Ayden, and Ayden will have a new teacher name Ms. Scott. I've heard good things about her.
