And we have the flu. We're all on Tamiflu except Dylan who is on breathing treatments, a steriod, and a cough/congestion med. We are also waiting for Dylan's RSV results. Last year, we were catching puke, so I guess this is an upgrade.
Dylan started rolling from back to front today...I thought Jesse put him on his stomach to sleep, but nope, he rolled. Dylan also found his thumb last weekend which is so cute, but I'm sure it won't be when he's 3. lol Dylan has his 2 month well baby visit on the 15th and he's 24" long and 12lbs 7oz. He's a little bean!
Ayden just turned 6th on the 18th. He is spelling, reading, writing up a storm, and loving school. Ayden is 42lbs and 44" tall - 4 more inches until he can go on Expedition Everest at Disney! Daddy is excited about that!
Kailey is in 4yr old preschool, she's enjoying it, but having some issues with letters and writing. She is the youngest in her class, so I try not focus too much on it. Unfortunately, she didn't pass her eye exam. Hopefully she didn't understand or didn't know the letters she was shown. So Kailey is coming with Mommy for an eye exam and I hope I'm the only one leaving with glasses!
Ashlyn...what can I say? She's my feistly 2 1/2 year old! She's talking up a storm, playing with her brothers and sister, and is SO ready for school! She gets so mad when I drop Kailey off because she's not staying. I can't wait for her to start preschool either! lol
I am doing okay, except this flu. I just turned 28 on the 18th. I feel no different...no more insurance breaks, or cool birthday's like 18 or 21. Well, I guess 30 is big, but all down hill from there! ROFL I got a new Honda Pilot in November which I am in love with! It's so nice! I am in physical therapy 2-3 days a week because of my injury from getting rear ended. I'm trying to get more envolved in the PTO at school, but is hard with having 4 kids. But I am trying, I helped with the Giving Tree last week and it was fun.
Jesse is getting over his flu, he has it longer, I just got it yesterday. He's doing good, waiting for his review and hopefully more money.
And for good measure... www.ronpaul2008.com

Computer Broke...
So I haven't been online much at all. Dylan is 2 months old, rolling over, and smiling. I can't believe it's going by so fast!

3 Weeks Already
Dylan is 3 weeks old today, and I can't believe it. Where has the time gone already? He is already more alert and likes eye contact. He also loves to be worn which I love! He's always snuggling with me, he nursing so well, and sleeping pretty good as well! I just can't imagine him being our last.
On the scrapping front, it's 2 weeks until the November Lifetime Moments Crop of a Lifetime. I have to make 40 some business cards for it and I just don't have the time or motivation.

So tired...
Yesterday Jesse went back to work. I got the kids to school on time, did laundry, and cleaned the house. Last night Dylan slept really well, and goofed me all up, I got too much sleep and feel like crap. Kailey has been a complete nightmare today. I swear it doesn't matter how much I feed her, she wants more junk! That's all she did today was whine about being hungry and wanted cookies and candy I don't know what to do with her. On top of that she won't listen and likes to annoy Ashlyn and then Ashlyn starts screaming. So Ayden, Dylan, and I left as soon as Jesse got home to get Ayden's Halloween costume and get some time away.

FYI to Self
Orange Juice makes Dylan gassy! And guess what I've been craving like crazy...OJ! Milk doesn't seem to do it though, that's a bonus, but I'm not going to go drink a glass of milk to prove my theory either! lol Man, I forgot how crazy it was with a newborn. Jesse goes back to work on Monday and I'm certain it's not going to go well.

Dylan is FINALLY here!
I woke up at 6:30am on the 29th with painful contractions. I told Jesse he should call our midwife to let her know and to have her bring her stuff. She was heading to our house for our 40 week appointment later that morning.
Kate, our midwife, arrived at 9:15am. At 9:20am she checked me to see where we were at. To my surprise, I was 7cm dilated and 100% effaced and -2 station, contractions were 3 minutes apart. My reaction was, “wow I haven’t even done anything yet!”. Dylan’s heart rate was in the 140’s and he was doing great.
At 10:43am I got into the pool to relax a bit. It was awesome, felt better than an epidural! At 11:23am my water broke, my first spontaneous rupture and it was weird! My water was stained with meconium, but we weren’t really worried, Dylan still looked great on the Doppler. At that point the contractions were getting intense, but the water helped.
At 11:32am I got the urge to push although I wasn’t quite ready to push yet. Kate checked me at 11:39am and felt a small anterior lip and head, +2/+3 station. I also got to feel his head. At 11:48am after 13 minutes of pushing, Dylan Andrew was born into his Daddy’s hands weighing 8lb 13oz and 22” long. His APGAR scores were 9 and 10 and I avoided another postpartum hemorrhage.
The kids watched their brother being born and loved it. It was just an amazing experience, my midwife was just awesome! I wish I would have had all the kids at home.

My due date is today!
And no baby. But Hanson's installed my 2 windows in the basement and it looks awesome! They'll be back next week to do our storm door. Last night we ordered our furnace and hot water heater. And he'll be installing another vent into our room. Jesse thinks we'll be getting our new dryer soon as well so we can stack them. I got a check from the hospital in the mail for 250some dollars. Apparently I over paid them! So maybe I can talk Jesse into getting the dryer with it? Or maybe a new door? I have a midwife appointment on Saturday to see if this little guy has any plans on coming out! lol

This little bugger!!
I swear he's never going to come out!! I'm 38w3d and I'm having a couple contractions but nothing else is happening! I'm so frustrated! Jesse is ready for a vacation and so am I! lol I just want to see my little baby and the kids are getting so anxious too!

37w1d Pregnant
Oh and I am READY!! I thought last weekend was the real deal, but I was wrong...of course. Tomorrow is the Aerosmith concert and Zoo Days, but I'm not sure how I'm going to walk the zoo, my pelvic bone hurts pretty bad today. I'm really just waiting for the contractions to get better since tomorrow IS the Aerosmith concert and I want to go so bad.

Last night was a full moon
And I wanted to go into labor so bad. Had some contractions 2-9 minutes apart, but they wouldn't get regular. Then I had 3 good ones while in bed trying to go to sleep, but it all stopped! Oh well, tomorrow I'll be 36w pregnant. I'd like to go soon because Kate is going out of town. Once she's gone, this little bugger better wait until she's back!

34w5d - Nesting like crazy!
I've been nesting so bad lately. The house was looking great until yesterday. I have to put laundry away, the laundry room was leaking, so we weren't able to get the bookcases. But we did get the bifold for our closet, but it's too big, we got the wrong one. Jesse needs to paint our room and fill the crack in the laundry room. Now the kids are fighting and I forgot what I was typing.

Man oh Man!
The terrible two's are in full swing at my house! Ashlyn is melting down because Kailey has Minnie and she wants it. The carpet guy should be here soon, so I've been cleaning like crazy and vacuuming everything. I can't wait until it's done!!! The carpet looks so bad thanks to dog pee.

How 'bout now?
Is today over with yet? I'm so tired, I need more sleep. Kailey woke me up at 7:30 because she didn't see Daddy down stairs. I guess he blended into the couch today.

What A Wild Week!
It all started with the extream crop which I did 5-7 lo's for and had such a great time scrapping. My new scrap area is awesome, I still need to take a picture. I completed Dylan's diaper stash last night which I also need to take pictures of. I also got some homepathic stuff for my homebirth and to help me sleep. I got Dylan 2 onesies about Mama's Milk and born at home. They are so cute! I found a Peanuts blanket at Once Upon A Child that is adorable. Then we hit IKEA and got some more organizational items for my area. I plan on hanging them today. And hopefully my new HP Photosmart printer will be here today!

My new scrap area!
I took down my scrap area because my living room was feeling too cluttered and I knew I needed the space for a small pack n play, swing, and bouncer. So it's been sitting in storage totes. Well today I found a smaller table and organizer from IKEA and now my scrap area is in my room! I'll take a picture once I get it all up and going.

Heat Wave!
It is 90 some degrees outside. I went out to clean up a mess Kailey made and I couldn't be out there more than 5 minutes. It's insane! I'm dreading going to the mail box although I'm waiting for some goodies. It's suppose to cool off tomorrow afternoon after some storms come through.
On the veggie front, I made veggie taco salad with veggie ground beef and everyone loved it! Today I made vegan (except I used regular pasta) pesto and Ayden loved it! Kailey not so much, she's my picky eater. Yesterday I had chicken mcnuggets from McDonalds...so it's a day by day thing.

Natural Family Festival
We went to the Natural Family Festival in Chelsea today. It was very interesting, but I wish they would have had it when I was pregnant with Ayden. Now, everything they had, I knew about. It was like BTDT. I can't wait for next year though, should be bigger, I think. The kids had fun with the crafts though.

Hot tub!
I cleaned out the hot tub yesterday. It's been closed up since before we bought the house 2 years ago. It wasn't too bad, but we still need a new cover since the old one is split in half. Everything seems to be working great in it. There's just some setiment in the bottom that we need to figure out how to get out. We're getting a new cover this weekend and I think Jesse is going to be getting the shed soon.
This is going to be HARD!
So I went all day yesterday without meat, and this morning I had a sausage for breakfast! It doesn't help that Jesse is giving me a lot of crap about going veg. Not to mention, I'm craving Red Lobster.
Dr. Bart called this morning with scare tactics about our homebirth and told me that we could both die and that there are no certified midwives in this area, blah, blah, blah. So now I have no desire to even go into the office for my file.
Monday, July 2, 2007
Oh Boy...
I cancelled my ob appt today that was scheduled for tomorrow. I was going to tell Dr. Bart that I decided to have a homebirth. Well, not 5 minutes after I called, the phone rang. I knew it was the dr's office. It was one of the nurses. She asked if the midwife knew about my placenta, I said yes. My placenta was 2.5cm from my cervix at my 19 week u/s. Not THAT low lying. And that basically she's not a good midwife if she doesn't have an ob backup and that I'm taking my life and the life of my baby into my own hands. Now I know I won't be going back after baby is born like I planned. So Jesse will be going with me to get my records so I don't have to deal with unwanted comments by myself.
On the other hand, I think today is going to be day 1 of me being a vegetarian.

Lots of News!
Kailey's birthday is on Sunday and she'll be 4!! Incredible, I just can't believe it. I think we're going to take her to Jeepers next weekend. Ashlyn is on day 3 of not having her binky. She's doing great going to sleep at night, but not very well during the day. She hasn't napped at all. After a year of debating with myself about becoming a vegetarian, I'm going to do it! But first I need to go to Red Lobster! lol Baby Dylan is doing great, but I feel like I'm gaining too much weight too fast, so I need to figure out how to curve that. I have everything I need for our homebirth, the last package arrived yesterday! I'm very excited and comfortable with the decision.

My 1st Midwife Appointment
We had our first appointment yesterday. It was awesome! Kate is great. Baby's heartbeat was in the 150's. He is breech and small still. His head is just under my right rib. She changed my due date back to Sept. 27th. We got our birth kit list and I ordered a different birthing pool and some other things we'll need. I also have everything on the list together and in a storage container. I just need to place an order for some other things that I'd like to have. I am so excited and I have no worries at all. I talked to Jesse and told him we should have his mom here to help out with the kids...since I want them here. I know we can depend on her, unlike my mom, and she will help with no back talk...etc. Ayden and Kailey got to hear Dylan's heartbeat for the first time, Ayden loves it. Kailey thought it was cool too.

Have an appointment with Kate!!
Saturday is our first appointment with Kate! So I called Dr Bart's office and the receptionist gave me some grief. I told her that I had decided to have a homebirth and that I wanted to let Dr Bart know in person. I have a lot of respect for him and would like to see him after baby is born for paps. Well she told me I couldn't get in to see if any sooner than July 3rd, the date of my appointment. I asked her about my records and she said I could do it that day. Well, I would like to have them by Saturday if possible. So because of all this, I really just want to get my records and not say anything to Dr. Bart.

Homebirth
I'm having a homebirth!! Jesse and I met with Kate yesterday and she's great! Jesse likes her and I love her personality. She is very open to us having an unassisted homebirth, but her being there if anything goes nuts and loves the idea of Jesse catching Dylan. I'm so excited! I've already bought a birth pool. lol I just need to meet with Dr. Bart and let him know what we're doing.

Ob Appt Yesterday
I met with Dr. Bart yesterday. I'm measuring 27w, but that's because Dylan was breech. My weight is 154 and his heart rate was 145. Everything is great.
A Whole New Day
I had an interveiw we a midwife this morning and she is great. But she'll be out of town over my edd so Stacia from Trillum would deliver me. So I'm just wondering if it would just be better to use Stacia. I'm so excited that this is a real possibility now.

Emotional Breakdown
Oh boy. I was watching Birth Day, House of Babies, Run Way Moms and they were having homebirths, or births at birthing centers, and I really do want a waterbirth at the hospital (chance of that is so small) or a homebirth. I decided against the homebirth because I really didn't think I was going to still be pregnant now. And I'm really kicking myself because I do want one. Jesse isn't comfortable with it because of my low lying placenta and he's more comfortable at the hospital. But I really want a homebirth! I have an ob appt tonight and Jesse told me to talk to Dr Bart about it, but he's against homebirths, so that does no good.
So much...
This weekend Jesse and I took the kids to the zoo. We had fun although we weren't there for long. My aunt and uncle were taking the kids overnight so we could go out to dinner and Jesse could go to his Ron Paul meeting. We had this fabulous dinner at Miyako Japanese Steakhouse. The cooked the food right at the table, it was so yummy! We can't wait to go back! Sunday Jesse went to the Ron Paul thing and I heading to IKEA for an end table. I took mine into the baby's room, so I needed another one. Then I went baby clothes shopping at Once Upon A Child. Got this really cut Gap outfit. When we got home, I went out a bought a pool with a filter for all of us. I haven't been in it yet, needs to be warmer out. Yesterday was Ashlyn's 2nd birthday! I can't believe she's 2, feels like yesterday I had her. She got a bike, 2 outfits, sandals, a cabbage patch doll and an electronical book of farm animals. She's been playing with Alyssa's for months now. I also bought a Morning Glory Beco, it's so beautiful! It will be here tomorrow.
Oh and my camera is here! I'm just waiting on the flash card!

Hyena Cart
I just start my own hyenacart for resaling the kids things, and other odds and ends. I'm very excited about it and I think it's much easier than diaperswappers or ebay. I can't stand ebay, I made enough money, but with the fees, it wasn't as good as it should have been. I don't even know how much money they took.
CANON REBEL!!!!
I just ordered it! I can't wait to get it, I'm so freaking excited!!!!!!!!!!! It should be here Wednesdayish. YAY!!!!

It's been a rough week!
I feel like Ayden and Kailey are out to get me! We went to McDonalds for lunch yesterday. The kids wanted to go there. So I get them what they want and we come home and they don't want that. They want something else. Oh I was furious! So they didn't eat lunch, I put it in the fridge and they ate it for dinner. Gross, I know, but I can't keep making a thousand mini meals a day. This nonsense is driving me up a wall! So today I made mac/cheese and hot dogs. Kailey doesn't want mac and cheese and Ayden didn't eat most of his either. So all I've been hearing is that he's hungry.
On a good note I'm selling all my Quickutz in order to get a new Rebel or D50. They all end today and I don't think I'm going to make much money. I have almost 1000.00 in QK stuff and I don't think I'm going to make a quarter of that. :( I've also sold a lot of stuff on Diaperswappers and bought more diapers too! I'm just waiting for them to get here!

So Much Fun Stuff!
Yesterday I registered Kailey for dance again next year. She's so excited! She'll be taking tap and ballet on Friday evenings. The classes start on Sept 10th! I've been completely addicted to Diaperswappers.com and have sold, traded, and purchase tons of stuff for cheap! Love it! The baby's room is done for the most part, just needs an interior door. We put up the crib and the closet door the other night. It looks so cute in there! I need to take pictures. Speaking of pictures, I'll be getting a Nikon D50 (or D80 if Jesse is feeling frisky! lol), I can't wait to have a good camera to work with. I would love to take professional like photos.

Sick and Contracting
Oh what a fun day. I've been hacking up a storm and now I'm contracting. It was pretty regular, but it's calmed down some. If it starts back up, I'll probably be heading to L&D to get checked out.

Shop til I drop!
I've been buying diapers and more diapers today! It's safe to say that Dylan's stash is complete! I would like to get a couple more for Ashlyn though. I also picked up an Ellaroo wrap.

It's A Boy!!
Erica and Alden are having a boy!! Now it would be really cool if we delivered the same day or a day of each other! lol
Zzzzzz
Yes, another exhausted day for me. Kailey wakes up too early. Atleast it's nice out, maybe I'll try to go to the mall or something for baby clothes for Dylan. Or maybe the zoo, but with gas at 3.60, I really should just stay home. I really just want to go back to sleep. I wish we had another resale shop around here. Our Once Upon A Child is getting boring, I like the one in Canton better. Hopefully my slings and diaper inserts will arrive today. I swear mail is the highlight of my day. lol

Can I go back to sleep now?
I am so tired. Kailey woke me up at 7:35ish this morning. She wanted to lay with me, so I thought I'd get lucky and she'd fall asleep. LOL, not my morning bird daughter. So we got up, I got her pancakes and she's so loud vacally, that she woke Ayden and Ashlyn up. Now Ayden is grumpy and I can't get Kailey to take a nap. She has a chest cold and her recital is Thursday. I hope she's well enough for it, especially since we've paid 65.00 dollars in tickets.
We were suppose to go up to Mackinaw this weekend for the holiday, but I decided to cancel. We'll get all our money back but 13.00 dollars. I'll take it since the cost of gas it 3.50 and it's not even Thursday yet. So we're going to go to Lowes and get blow in insulation, a door for the nursery, maybe some fence, and odds and ends. Hopefully that's what we'll do, Jesse would love to get the insulation done. Then maybe it won't get so hot up stairs.
Well lunch is almost done. Til later.

Busy Weekend
Saturday Jesse and I went to Lowes to buy carpet. 200.00 dollars later we got it home and Chris said he'd come by on Sunday to help. THANK GOD! I was so scared to have Jesse do it!
lol So Jesse and I ripped up the trim to get the room ready.
Sunday, Jen said I had to come to her house and to bring the kids. So we did some chocolate covered things. Okay, I just ate some chocolate. I called Jesse to see how it was going and told him just to buy the new trim when they went to Home Depot to get the carpet stretcher. He argued with me of course, so Jen texted Chris to get the trim. When I got home the trim was in Chris' truck!! YAY!!! So we had dinner (carry out) at Mexico Lindo's, so yummy. It was also Alyssa's first birthday! We couldn't believe it was already here. So we finished the trim last night and the nursery looks great. I got everything moved back in and today I washed blankets and clothes. I know it's early, but it gets so hot up there in summer. I don't want to be messing around up there in the August.
Oh, and Erica finds out the sex of the baby on Wednesday! I'm so excited, we're exactly 3 weeks apart.

My Space
As much as love myspace, some times I don't get why weird people send me friends requests! I got a request from this guy in Toledo and he's into death metal and all that crap, and I'M NOT! I have a private profile, so I don't get it. I have a preggo belly picture of myself up there. I get those so often, I don't understand! lol

The Baby Wearer
I've been busy this morning shopping for slings and wraps! lol I bought a Maya Wrap ring sling and a Moby Wrap. I'm very excited to get them. I already have a Baby Hawk Mei Tai and a Hot Sling. Now I just have to wait for Mr. Dylan to arrive!
Today is a PJ day. It's cold outside, the heat is on and we're on the couch watching Cartoon Network. It's Scooby Doo today! I'm getting ready to cook lunch for the kids and I need to start a load of laundry and boil the hemp for Ashlyn's diapers. They are getting a bit stinky. Tonight we're heading to Lowes to get carpet for Dylan's room then I can get that organized and start washing his clothes and diapers. I still have some time, but our room and his room gets extreamly hot in the summer. The heat and A/C doesn't make it up there for some reason.

Homebirth, Low Lying Placenta, C-Section...
At the beginning of this pregnancy, Jesse and I were positive that we wanted a homebirth. Then the midwife I fell in love with decided she wasn't doing births in September. So I met with a CNM and it just wasn't the same. I decided to stick with my current ob that delivered Ashlyn. I was completely okay with that until recently, I feel like I'm yerning for a homebirth. It's my last chance since this will be our last baby. On Monday, I had my 21w ob visit and my ob told me that my placenta is low lying and has to move up .5cm in order to have a vaginal birth. It's already moved up .5cm from my 11w ultrasound. So really I'm probably getting worked up over nothing because they tend to move up on their own. I don't want a c-section at all, especially if it's just really a precautionary measure. I have another ultrasound at 32w to check my placenta to see if it's moved up. But I'm STILL going back and fourth over a homebirth although Jesse says no way, at this point it will be too expensive.
Tree City Diapers
The kids and I went there this afternoon to get Ashlyn and Dylan some more cloth diapers! I wish they weren't so close though, I spend too much money there. lol Then we went to the scrapbook store and I got some more goodies. I feel like scrapping!

My Scrapbook Layouts
You can find them at Scrapbook.com. :D

Ready for today to end...
I am so exhausted now and ready for sleep. I stayed up too late last night playing with this blog. lol Jesse is on his way home and the kids are watching TV in the living room. I think it's going to be a pizza night and then put the kids down early.
A Little About Myself
I just realized I didn't post anything about myself.
I'm Kristina 27, I grew up in Walled Lake, Mi. I met my husband Jesse in 1999 and we were married in August 2001. We have 3 kids and 1 on the way. Ayden is 5, Kailey will be 4 in July, and Ashlyn will be 2 in June. Dylan Andrew is expected around September 26, 2007.
I am SAHM and a part time nursing student, although I haven't taken a class since just before Ashlyn was born. I'm looking forward to go back once Dylan is done nursing...when ever that will be...since he's not even here yet! lol
I'm completely addicted to Disney World and I have been there 5 times since 2004. I love going every year. I never went as a kid, so I'm making up for it now. I usually alternate between which kiddo(s) I take. We just got back about 3 weeks ago and the whole family went.
A Beautiful Day in Michigan!
It's almost 10am and I've started cleaning the house, the kids are in the back yard playing on their moon walk/bounce house. I think it's suppose to get to 85 degrees today and then storm. So I hope they get in all the playing they can!
I went to the Great Lakes Mega Meet on Saturday and I bought so much new stuff that I can't wait to play with. I got this awesome tote from Cropper Hopper for $40.00! The thing is huge, I've already packed most everything into it and I still have room! lol I also got some new Technique Tuesday inks, I just got into these types of stamps, I haven't even used them yet. Hopefully I'll get to used them on Friday at the crop.
