My roof is leaking

AGAIN! We have to get a new roof asap. We thought the leaks were coming from ice dams, but there is no ice on the roof right now. The workers won't start until the leaking stops.

I'm losing weight!!! YAY!! I'm down 4lbs.

Today is day 3 of my trying to be a vegetarian. I've done well the last 2 days but I usually can't go more than 3 days with out meat of some sort. So we'll see!

Kailey is home again today with a fever. She went to school yesterday, but when she got home, she had a fever.

Vanishing Twin Syndrome

It's been 2 years and 2 days since I found out I was pregnant with twins and that one didn't develop. I finally looked into it today to see what went wrong. It's called Vanishing Twin Syndrome.

"Vanishing twin syndrome is a condition in which one of two fetuses disappears sometime during the first 12 weeks of a pregnancy. Early in a multiple pregnancy, it is possible for a woman to miscarry one fetus and to notice some vaginal bleeding or to notice nothing unusual. Sometimes the embryo or fetus is reabsorbed by the mother's body. Vanishing twin syndrome may be caused by too little of the hormone that supports pregnancy (human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG). It does not appear to harm the mother or the surviving twin."

So I guess that's what happened. My progesterone was low and my hCG was a little above normal.

So here are my babies, Dylan and "twin B":

"What's that?"

Dylan has been saying it for a couple weeks now, but we weren't sure if he knew what it meant. This morning (6:30am!) we were sitting in his room nursing and a train was going through Pontiac blowing its whistle. He looks up at me, points toward the window and said "what's that?" with a big smile on his face. lol He's so stinkin' cute! And he started saying "cacker" for cracker. He's growing so fast.

Sleep? Yes, please!

Dylan started this thing the other night. He wakes up in the middle of the night screaming like a crazy child! I start to nurse him, then he'll pop off screaming again. I have no idea what it is. Teeth? Night terror? Gassy? I have no clue. What ever it is, I hope everything will go back to normal soon.

My research paper.

Is going to be way more work than I was thinking. The topic of home birth is so cut throat and it's going to be hard to get any good info on it from reputable sources. I'm not allowed to use anything from .coms. It has to be .gov, .edu, or journals. These sources tend to focus on the "bad" side of home birthing and I'm feeling very overwhelmed and thinking a topic change may have to happen. I have all my Mothering mags from over the past year or so and intend to use them, but I need tons of sources, not just one.

Had to take Kailey in

She had a fever of 104.6, so I gave her a cool bath and off to he walk in we went. She has 2 ear infections, a chest cold, and possible eye infections - though she gets red eyes when she has a high fever. Pink eye is going around at school, so I'll be giving her the drops just in case.

Birthday Vacation

Jesse and I will be going to Florida for my birthday. Now the hard part, I can get free admission to a Disney park on my birthday and we can do that and Universal/Islands of Adventure - which happens to be the what we did on our first vacation together. Jesse mentioned maybe going to the Keys, now I don't know what we should do!! I wish we could go for an entire week! Unfortunately we would miss Ayden's birthday since we share a birthday. :( So I feel horrible about that.

Kailey is home sick.

She has a fever. When it rains it pours. I don't think it's what I have, at the moment, it looks more flu like.

It's Official!

I am NOT going swimming in Disney. :( MOOOOOOOOO

Sinus Infection

So I went and I'm on a Z-pack and got my dr's note so I can be excused from my math class. Once I was done there I went to Penney's and bought a swim suit top - $38.00 freaking dollars! The one I really liked though was $78.00!! {SHOCK!!} I also got a couple summer-like shirts for 8.00 each.

On a crappy note, it's been 10 years today since Grandpa died. I almost made it past the day without realizing, but since I had to date the paper at the dr's...

I'm still feeling miserable and it's not letting up. Now Kailey is complaining of a sore throat.

Oy vey

It's just over freezing out side, so my roof is leaking - BAD! The workers won't start until we get the heat wire up on the roof, but we can't do that until the snow that's on the roof melts.

I am fever sick

So now I need to go to the dr for a letter head stating I'm sick so I can be excused and getting credit for my class. If I don't, it's a zero for the day. I don't need to go to the dr though, I just have a cold with a fever. I don't want to pay 80.00 for a visit when they are just going to tell me it's a cold. :(

I'm Sick

I've caught the sinus think Jesse had last week and my hear is all goofy, and I have algebra tonight until 10. I wish I could miss it, but she only allows 1 unexcused absence, which will be the one for Disney. Hopefully Sudafed will clear my head and dry out my sinus'.

I've finished packing up the kids for Disney and managed to get Ayden, Kailey, and Ashlyn into 1 tuffle bag.

Horrified!!

So our vacation is 45 days away, so I really need to pack now! I tried on my swim suit, and it's terrible! I have 45 days to lose weight without weaning Dylan. So I'm going to try the soup/salad "diet" and cutting back on carbs, not cutting them out, just back. I will also be taking a mulit-vitamin.

I also booked Chef Mickey's today and Princess Storybook dinner.

Instead of March 22 for Disney, we're going on March 8th!!!!!!!!

So tired today.

I went to bed with a pretty bad headache and woke up with it this morning. While skating yesterday with Ayden I fell. The ice was getting pretty bad and my skate got stuck in a "rut" and I fell. Nothing bad, didn't even hurt, but I must have jarred my neck because an hour later the headache started. So I need to find a time to get into the chiropractor.

I finally got Jesse to talk about having another baby. He's not ready right now and says we will "when the time is right". Whenever that is, but atleast I have somewhat of an answer, so that makes me feel better. I'm seriously freaked about trying for a baby after I'm 30.

Hockey Update

Jesse took Ayden to hockey yesterday and Ayden did the drills with the rest of his team and was able to keep up. He's skating so much better now. We just got back from a 2 hour open skate and he's doing so great!!

Went to Borders and Babies R Us

Big mistake going to BRU, too many adorable baby bellies.

My Borders had the book I was looking for the other day. Now I need to start using it and lose weight! Carla - I peed on a stick today and it was negative. So I'm going to call my ob/gyn on Monday to have my IUD checked since I never went back to have that done and get my thyroid checked.

DISNEY!!!

Okay, I'm going to get my butt in gear and start packing up our summer clothes today. I was going to hold off, but all the Disney talk yesterday with Melissa got me super excited; plus it's -something degrees and I have warm weather on my mind.

Holy Crap!

My math class went well last night and she is very much about helping her students pass. So that's gives me some confidence. She gave us our homework and I started it last night. Got up this morning and I just finished it! It had 300+ questions. I think I'm going to go ahead and start on the next section. This is going to be a lot of work. I also have a research paper due at the end of the semester for my comp II class. I need to start on that this weekend.

I need to lose weight!

I'm not eating any different, less actually and I keep gaining. I have no idea what's going on. :( My pants aren't fitting right and I feel and look like a moo moo. After I have Ashlyn I lost the weight I gained so fast and lost all the weight I gained over the years of pregnancy. I even made it lower than my pre-pregnant weight of 135lbs. But I can't lose anything right now! If I don't eat for a while I get light headed and dizzy and feel like I'm going to pass out. I don't know what to do.

Can't Sleep

I'm having the hardest time sleeping, I keep waking up around 2 or 3 and tossing and turning until I fall back asleep. Last night I had a dream about Grandpa and I couldn't do anything but cry because I miss him so much. He kept trying to give me something, but I just kept crying and couldn't face him. He died 10 years ago on January 25th from cancer.

Math here I come!!

I got in to take my math placement test and registered for Prep for Algbra. I'm nervous because I suck at math, I only pass my pre algbra class in high school because I copied off of someone on the final. So Jesse will have to tutor me and he is so good at math. Right now I'm sitting at school waiting for 6:30 to roll around. That's when my english class starts.

Woe is me - I can't catch a break!

So I cancelled my government class, you all know that. But in order to stay on the Dean's List I need atleast 6 credit hours. My english class is only 3. So I want to take a math class but need to retake the COMPASS math placement. I think it's stupid because I took it in 2005 and suck hard core on the math part. So why do I need to take it again when I'm trying to get into a low math class. On top of that, my campus I'll be at tonight isn't offering the test tonight. If I could get Jesse to work half days at home on Wednesday I could take a bowling class before my english class, but that's still only 4 credits. So I really need a math class then I'll have 7 credit hours to remain on the Dean's List. Damn pride! ROFL

They start next week!

I picked out carpet and gave our paint samples to the painter this morning. I think it's going to look great! We need to get a new couch asap now since our green couch isn't going to match our carpet or paint.

So excited!!

Tomorrow the construction guys come out and figure out what needs to be done. We're also inquiring about addition work, so today I'm trying to get the entire house clean. I'm going to need to take everything off the walls and patch the holes. I already have my paint colors picked out and know how I want them to paint. I never got around to painting the family room so I can't wait until it's finished.

Today Jesse's in Grand Rapids and should be leaving around 4. I want him to leave earlier since there is an Alberta Clipper heading our way and GR always gets hammered with lake effect snow. He's so freakin' stubborn.

I shouldn't have sat down, now I don't want to get up to finish cleaning!

Twilight Movie Update -

The dvd comes our March 21st!!!! I can't wait. They start filming New Moon in March as well.

My Sat. Morning Government Class

I cancelled it. There is no way Jesse can take Ayden to hockey and get him ready with Dylan and the girls there.

Some Thoughts

I'm tired and thinking. We're getting new carpet, paint, and drywall. We need a new bed and couches. We can't all sit on the couch together, we don't even have room for all of us. We went to Art Van last Tuesday and didn't like anything they had. So next is Gardner White. We're also getting a form mattress from Costco. I can't wait, I hate our bed. We were going to get it yesterday but I didn't feel like it. I think I'm ready to move into a bigger house too. That won't be happening, but it's always a nice thought.

I am a hockey mom!!

Ayden started hockey yesterday. He spend most of it on his butt. He was the only one who couldn't skate. We were told he could learn how to skate in this program, but it was apparent he should have went to the learn to skate program. So today I went out and bought myself hockey skates and too Ayden skating. He's doing so much better already. I think he'll do fine, I just need to find another rink for open skating.

Borders and Barnes & Noble SUCK!

I'm looking for a dieting while breastfeeding book. I know the one I want but neither of these sucky stores have it! Hell, they hardly had anything on breastfeeding and I'm thinking a letter to corperate is in order.

Disney Stuff - I'm so ready.

I need a Mei Tai for our Disney trip. I love my Beco, but since I'm probably going to be wearing Dylan most of the time, I'm going to need to change it up. I also need to get a bigger size Hotsling. So I need to hit Diaper Swappers today.

Today I'm going to start packing up Dylan for our trip. Since he's still so tiny, the 6-9 month clothes that he didn't get to wear over the summer will fit him now. Plus I have to try to get everything we need into the truck, so I have to cram pack.

I'll be taking our double Maclaren, but I think I should rent a Graco Quattro Tour from ABBF. Jesse doesn't think we'll need to, or that we should even bring our single Maclaren. I don't know.

I already packed up everyones sandals for the trip and are working on spring jackets. Too bad Jesse just put the rest of the summer clothes under the house.

Things to do, buy, or look for:

• A travel bed for Dylan, one that folds up REALLY small
• Mei Tai and Hotsling
• A hitch box of some sort
• Figure out what's wrong with the portable DVD player
• Find a good setup for the car seats in the truck
• Order groceries from Garden Grocer
• Find out about Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party
• Still need to make Crystal Palace priority seating
• Get diapers and wipes packed up, or just order diapers from GG?
• Get some toys small toys together for Dylan

Having a hard time

Jesse had the baby conversation again Saturday night. The hopes of conceiving a baby before I turn 30 is on my mind a lot. Jesse has no interest in having a baby anytime soon. He says maybe in 3 years. I don't want to wait that long. I don't know how to explain it, I literally ache for another child. Not to mention Dylan had his 15 month appointment yesterday and there were 3 newborns there for their 1st visits. So they were like 3 days old. Oh how I miss those little baby sounds.

Our date night

We took a walk down memory lane and went to Players for dinner. It's where we used to go every day for lunch at work. Jesse and I used to work together, that's how we met. We all used to go there every Friday night, I had my 21st birthday there with all my coworkers. It was boring, but the food was awesome as usual. Then I talked Jesse into going to Pronto, if you've been reading my blog, know it's a gay bar mostly male. We sat at the bar because my friend Paul is the bar tender. The guy next to Jesse kept checking him out. It was so funny, I wasn't sure if I should leave him alone to go to the bathroom! Then 2 guys were walking around in boxer briefs selling shot and guys were taking the shots off of them. One of the guys was super hot and I swear he must have been straight or bi because he kept looking down my shirt. lol Jesse even noticed that. We had a lot of fun.

Date Night!

Caitlyn is coming up tonight to watch the kids so Jesse and I can go out! We have no idea where we're going to what we're going to do. I want to go to Pronto! and get some hommus! ;)

She was going to get her belly button pierced today so I went down there and got my cartilage piercing guaged and got another piercing below my original - which was pierced when was 14. So my ear is very sore! lol Now I just need to get my next tattoo.

2009 Goals and Other Ramblings

This is our first new year debt-free, usually that's at the top of the list! My goals for 2009:

• LOSE WEIGHT!!
• Cut meat out of my diet - if not all meat, 98% of it.
• Organize my house better.
• Take a vacation with Jesse - ONLY.
• Camp more.
• Get more tattoos! :D
• Scrap at least 50 layouts this year.
• Save money.
• Maybe Jesse will come around to having another baby...

So last night the kids stayed up to watch the ball drop and Jesse and I watched Heroes. We never got into it while it was on regular cable, but now we're streaming Netflix, we've managed to catch up in 3 weeks. It's a really good show!

Today I need to clean the house and put the kids clothes away. I'd like to hit the laundry mat to wash my comforter for our bed, not sure if that will get done though.

I got Kailey's recital dates yesterday and Kailey and Ashlyn were accepted in the Dudes and Diva's Company so they will have extra dance recitals and dates.
